Feeling Lucky

The month of March brings a lot of madness, and there are a lot of activities to do around the Piedmont area. From the ACC tournament that has appeared in Charlotte, springtime, and everything in between the time St. Patrick’s Day rolls around. Each year, 33 million people around the world participate in SPD festivities, North Carolina included! 56.1% of Americans celebrate SPD. In Chicago, they use 45 pounds of vegetable-based dye to turn the Chicago River green! And although SPD can be fun and games, it can also lead to some serious consequences if not celebrated safely. So you friends at High Rock Insurance Agency have come up with a list of safety tips so you can enjoy the weekend, without worry.

Here are some safety tips for St. Patrick’s Day:

1.     If you are going to one of the many events, and plan on drinking, designate a safe way home.

2.     Designate a sober driver for each activity you and you family or friends have planned. Take turns so you can all enjoy the fun!

3.     Use Uber, Lyft, public transportation, or even Taxis to get to and from destinations.

Below are the surrounding cities transit schedules:

  • Davidson County
  • City of Charlotte
  • City of Concord Transit
  • City of Salisbury Transit
  • Asheville Transit Schedule
  • Winston-Salem Bus Routes
  • Greensboro Bus Routes
  • Wilmington Wave Schedule

The cost of using these services, in comparison to a DWI is well worth it!

4.     Eat and stay hydrated throughout the day. Especially since the days are beginning to warm up and we’re spending more time outside and in the sun.

5.     Leave your valuables at home!

6.     Always stay with your drink.

7.     When leaving your home be sure to lock your door and turn on your porch lights. A porch light timer will work best if your daytime fun goes well into the night.

8.     Have fun and don’t forget to tell the ones you love about us here at High Rock Insurance Agency!
